The ISCC provides comprehensive support across the entire research lifecycle. Our team of expert statisticians collaborates on hundreds of projects annually, offering tailored solutions that range from initial grant proposal development to final data archiving. While consulting for Ph.D. dissertation work is provided at no cost for upto 10 hours to the student, other internal and external projects are supported on an hourly basis. Our goal is to serve as your dedicated partner in quantitative research.
Areas of Expertise
- Grant Proposals, Study Design, & Power Analysis
- Strong research begins with a solid foundation. We recognize that the difference between a funded proposal and an unfunded one often lies in the quality of its quantitative planning. We help you strengthen grant proposals by collaborating on experimental design, defining robust statistical methods, and conducting precise power analyses to ensure your study is set up for success.
- Furthermore, as part of our mission to support university-wide research, ISCC is a key contributing partner in the Research & Evaluation Design Support (REDS) for Grant Proposals Program. This program provides specialized, no-cost statistical consultation from our team to faculty PIs preparing external proposals.
- Data Analysis & Visualization
- With a rapidly growing number of statistical techniques, it can be challenging to determine which analysis is appropriate for your data. Our team helps you select and apply the correct analytical methods for your data. We also assist in creating high-impact, publication-quality graphics that clearly convey your findings and tell your data's story.
- Manuscript Writing & Data Archiving
- Even after the analysis is complete, finding the right words to describe the inferences drawn from your statistical model can be difficult. We collaborate with you throughout the manuscript writing process to ensure your methods and results are described accurately. We also provide guidance on implementing data archival plans to meet funder and publisher requirements.
