Advisor to the Executive Director and Professor of Statistics
Michael joined the faculty of the Department of Statistics in 2006 and became the director of the newly formed ISCC soon after. He served as Executive Director for many years when he was Chair of the Department of Statistics. He now advises the new Executive Director. He received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and brings expertise in tehcniques for Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) and Optimization.

Elizabeth joined the faculty of the Department of Statistics in 2020 and assumed the role of Department Chair and Executive Director of ISCC. She received her PhD from the University of Virginia and has research interests that include Statistical Genetics and Phylogenetics.

Hannah started her work at ISCC as an Intern in Spring 2014, while completing the Master's of Statistical Science program. In addition to her role consulting and supervising ISCC students, she uses her background with Business Administration to coordinate ISCC logistics and finances.

Elizabeth Anderson is originally from Buffalo, NY, and she has always been passionate about women’s health disparities and how societal beliefs and institutions shape women’s access to reproductive healthcare. She is currently interested in patterns of non-vaccination and studying how religious-based institutions shape women's health options and outcomes as well as how women navigate within these institutions. Elizabeth earned a BA in Mathematics and Sociology in 2018, an MA in Sociology in 2019, and an MS in Applied Statistics in 2021.

Jocelyn Mineo received her M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh. Her skills and interests include research coordination, project management, biostatistics, R programming, data visualization, scientific writing.

Elizabeth Ray joined ISCC in the spring of 2023. She earned her MS in Psychology in 2022 as well as a BS in Psychology, Philosophy, and Sociology with concentrations in social research and ethics at the University of Indianapolis.

Justin is a Ph.D. candidate in the mathematics department at IU. He received a M.A. in mathematics from IU and a B.A. in mathematics from Northwestern University with a minor in computer science. His research is in statistical dimension reduction and machine learning.

Neela is a Ph.D. student in the department of Psychological & Brain Sciences. She has a MS in Experimental Psychology from William & Mary, and a BA in Psychology from University of Richmond. She specializes in experimental and survey design, as well as race and gender research.

Alex Tran is a Ph.D. student in the Psychological and Brain Sciences department at IU with a minor in Quantitative Methods in Behavioral Sciences and Data Science. He has experience in teaching Introduction to Statistics and the R Programming Language. He received his B.A. in Psychology and Education from Colgate University. His research is in stereotyping and prejudice, intersectionality, and social roles.

Emily Norton is a clinical psychology Ph.D. student in the department of Psychology at University of Georgia. She has a MS in Experimental Psychology from William & Mary, and a BA in Psychology from Elizabethtown College. She specializes in brain and behavior relationships associated with substance use and cognitive functioning, as well as neuroimaging methodology and neuropsychological assessment.

Jessica received her M.A. in mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington and B.S. in mathematics from the University of Oregon. She is interested in applying techniques from applied and computational mathematics in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data science.

Nam Nguyen earned his master's degree in Statistical Science from Indiana University Bloomington in May 2024. After finishing his internship at ISCC, he decided to continue working there as a statistical consultant to further pursue his passion in data analysis and statistical methodology.

Hyeseon joined ISCC in May 2024 shortly after receiving her M.S. in Statistical Science from Indiana University. Her background is originally in psychology, having earned a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S.in Clinical Psychology from Chung-Ang University in South Korea. She specializes in hypothesis testing, regression models, and non-parametric methods.
