Addison researches early developmental processes, focusing on infant attention and parent–child interactions. She has expertise in behavioral research design and advanced quantitative methods, including dyadic data analysis, mixed-effects modeling, and sequential analysis. She also has teaching experience in research methods and statistical analysis using R. She is a Ph.D. student in Psychology at the University of Georgia, where she also earned her M.S. in Psychology. She received B.S. degrees in Psychology and Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University.
